Westlock North Consultation

Westlock North Consultation Meetings are scheduled for April 18th at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the Jarvie Community Hall.  Our PHRD Board is currently working to ratify an Information Booklet that will be made available to the public, so that people will have access to current information and answers to commonly asked questions surrounding this issue.  This Booklet will hopefully be available on March 15th, and we will post a copy on our website for people to access.  We will continue to post other information concerning the Westlock North Consultation Meetings as it becomes available.

At the November 24th Dapp/Jarvie Parent Advisory Council Meeting, Superintendent Egbert Stang presented to us the current status of discussions surrounding the Westlock North Schools (Dapp, Jarvie and W.R.Frose).  Mr. Stang emphasized that the PHRD Board has made absolutely no decisions regarding the future status of these three schools.  They have, however, begun to put together information and idea options for the public regarding the Westlock North Schools.  In January/February of 2012, PHRD will be bringing in an outside Consultation Group to hold "town hall" meetings with stakeholders to discuss viable options for the Northern Schools in future years.  Mr. Stang presented a number of documents at the meeting with the intention that people use these as a "starting off point" to help get ideas flowing at the Consultation Meetings.  The documents can be viewed by clicking on the links below.
